Benefits of Buriti Oil
Used in our Super Pressed Serum, Buriti oil (INCI: Mauritia Flexuosa (Buriti) Fruit Oil) pronounced burr-ree-chee, is an Amazonian oil. We source organic Buriti Oil from the rainforests of Brazil, where it’s derived from the fruit of the Moriche Palm Treei, a tree Brazilians consider to be a ‘Tree of Life’ii.
Buriti Oil is a natural antioxidant and does a great job at offering some protection against free radical damage caused by sun exposure. While antioxidants can help prevent UVA damage it is important to note that they won’t safeguard the skin against skin-burning UVB rays. So we advise you do not spend too much time directly in the sun and always make sure to wear SPF 40 sunscreen or higher.
In addition to being high in antioxidants, Buriti Oil is thought to be the richest source of natural beta-carotene (Vitamin A). Essential for healthy hair and skin, this vital vitamin helps boost your circulation to give your skin a healthy glow.
Let’s get into a few more details about why buying skincare products with Buriti Oil can do wonders for your skin - here is the breakdown!
Buriti Oil helps reduce fine lines and wrinkles so you age more gracefully:
Lightens dark spots caused by sun exposure.
Restores skin elasticity so you look younger and age more gracefully by helping to protect the membranes surrounding skin cells which keep the skin cells healthy for longer.
