A

  • It's absorbed excellently by the skin and is used traditionally by the Hawaiians to soothe sunburn and other inflammations. Kukui Seed Oil shown to have anti-inflammatory, pain reducing, and wound healing properties. It's also a particularly rich source of moisturizing essential fatty acids linoleic and linolenic (about 42 and 32%) and it's not so rich in oleic acid - around 15% - that can be good even for acne prone skin.

  • Baobab is a really big, iconic tree native to Africa (here is a nice image of it). It's the largest succulent plant in the world and almost all parts of it have traditional medicinal uses in Africa. It's loaded with things that are good-for-the-skin: it contains skin regenerating vitamin A, antioxidant vitamin E, and vitamin D3 that helps with calcium absorption. It's rich in nourishing fatty acids oleic (30-40%), linoleic (24-34%) and palmitic (18-30%).

  • Omega rich oil, moisturize skin and rebuilds protein to restore skin firmness and reduce skin sagging, appearance of wrinkles and revitalize and improve skin elasticity.

  • Anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, neem is commonly used to heal both minor wounds and longer-term conditions like eczema. Nimbidin, one of neem's most important constituents, suppresses inflammation.

  • Boswellia comes from the Boswellia serrata tree, which is native to India, North Africa, and the Middle East.Frankincense, in the genus Boswellia and from the Boswellia sacra tree and sometimes referred to as olibanum, is a common type of essential oil used in aromatherapy that can offer a variety of health benefits, including helping relieve chronic stress and anxiety, reducing pain and inflammation, boosting immunity.

  • This oil is a little-known secret for keeping your skin healthy. It is a natural oil that not only restores moisture and smoothness to dry and damaged skin but can also provide relief to people who suffer from chronic skin disorders such as eczema and atopic dermatitis.

  • Shea butter contains linoleic, oleic, stearic, and palmitic acids, which are effective in not only moisturizing, but creating a barrier on the skin to help keep moisture locked in and protect the skin from environmental irritants. Shea butter has moisturizing, restorative, Anti-Aging, Antioxidant and Blemish Control Properties.

C

  • A green-yellowish oil coming from cool places like Tahiti, Bora Bora, and the island of Polynesia. Oil loaded with nourishing and moisturizing fatty acids (oleic acid: 30-55%, linoleic acid: 15-45%, palmitic acid: 5-20% and stearic acid: 5-25%). The special thing about Tamanu oil, though, is that it contains the totally unique fatty acid called calophyllic acid that is suspected to give the oil its amazing healing and regenerative properties.The traditional uses of Tamanu oil range from using it for all kinds of rheumatism (inflammation in joints) to burns, wounds, skin rashes, and chapped lips and modern studies do confirm the wisdom of the old Polynesians. In fact, the wound healing properties of Tamanu oil is so strong that it produces visible improvements even for old (older than 1 year) scars during a 6-9 week period. Also has significant SPF boosting and antioxidant properties and amazing oil for skin that is in need of some regeneration and protection.

  • A beautiful golden-yellow oil coming from the Camellia tree. Similar to many other great non-fragrant plant oils, it's a great emollient and moisturising oil for dry skin. It's light in texture, absorbs fast into the skin and leaves it soft and supple. it's very rich (70-85%) in nourishing and moisturising fatty acid, oleic acid (though if you are acne-prone be careful with oleic acid), contains significant amount of antioxidant vitamin E (0.15%) as well as great emollient and antioxidant squalene (2-3%).All in all, a skin goodie especially for dry skin.

  • Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Wax is a dark green solid composed primarily of esters, fatty acids, and fatty alcohols.Green tea's anti-inflammatory properties can help reduce skin irritation, skin redness, and swelling. .Green Tea Wax is excellent for reducing transepidermal water loss on skin and also found topical green tea to be an effective remedy for many dermatological conditions.

  • It is coming from the yellow, fragrant flowers of the Cananga tree native to tropical Asia. The main components are fragrant molecules, including super common linalool (1-19%), benzyl benzoate (2-10%) and several others adding up to a max amount of 37.6% of EU sensitizers counts as quite high and the oil is considered to have high skin sensitization potential. It is a good idea to avoid if your skin is sensitive.

  • Caprylic Capric Triglycerides (and) Ubiquinone (CoQ10) comes in the form of a yellow, vegetable ester which will deliver the nutrients of CoQ10 while also imparting skin smoothness and hydration in making cosmetics. That's shown to absorb into the upper layer of the skin and act there like an awesome antioxidant. It not only has preventative effects but might also be able to reduce the depth of wrinkles.

  • Carotenoids & Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil & Tocopherol & Ascorbyl Palmitate - Carrot tissue oil is rich in beta carotene, vitamins B, C, D, E and essential fatty acids. Carrot tissue oil is a medium to heavy weight oil because of the petroselinic acid (the C18:1 instead of oleic acid). It is also filled with free radical scavengers, anti-oxidants, and photo-protective carotenoids.

  • Citrus Aurantium Oil (Sweet Orange) - An essential oil extracted from sweet orange peel, it possesses tonifying and draining properties for the skin. It also helps to reactivate circulation and combat cellulite. It stimulates cell regeneration and keeps your skin firm and invigorated.Originated from Spain/Brazil. Principal Constituents - Linalol, Linalyl Acetate, Limonene, Pinene, Myrcene, Camphene, Ocimene, Cymene among others.

  • Cymbopogon citratus (Lemongrass) Oil is a tall grass that is found in tropical climates and is a native to islands in Southeastern Asia.The Lemongrass essential oil contains anti-inflammatory properties, reducing redness, inflammation, itching, and swelling. As it is rich in antiseptic and astringent properties, one could often find it included in cosmetics meant to achieve soft, toned, and glowing skin.The main constituents of its essential oil are myrcene, citronellal, geranyl acetate, nerol, geraniol, neral, limonene, and citral.

  • Macadamia Ternifolia (Macadamia) Seed Oil - The golden yellow oil coming from the Macadamia nut, a native Australian nut. Similar to other plant oils, it's loaded with emollient and nourishing fatty acids. It's a high oleic acid oil (50-67% oleic acid and only 0-5% linoleic acid) that makes it very emollient and ideal for dry skin types (and less ideal for acne-prone skin).Its unique property is that it contains high amounts of a rare fatty acid called palmitoleic acid (12-25%) that give Macadamia oil a "cushiony" feel. It's also easily absorbed and makes the skin soft and supple.

  • Mangifera Indica (Mango) Seed Butter - rich in antioxidants and can be used to soften, smooth and moisturize rough dry skin. It has natural emollient properties, and is reputed to be useful for treating burns, stretch marks, scar reduction, wound healing and skin regeneration – smoothing of wrinkles.

  • Mauritia Flexuosa (Buriti) Fruit Oil - Buriti oil is a rich, hydrating fruit oil that is extracted from the nuts of the moriche palm tree, indigenous to the Amazon rainforest in brazil.Buriti oil is known for its antioxidant activity and shows promise in protecting the epidermis. It protects the skin from environmental stressors like smoke, smog, or chemicals. It’s anti-inflammatory action benefits rough, dry, and irritated skin that is sensitive to allergies or infections. Buriti oil is also photo-protective, which means that it helps the skin cells, (keratinocytes and fibroblasts), to withstand the harmful effects of UVA and UVB rays from the sun. Being a rich source of vitamin A and vitamin E, Buriti oil helps in collagen production, which reduces signs of aging i.e fine lines, wrinkles, blemishes while restoring the skin’s elasticity. It is also rich in fatty acids which makes it an efficient moisturizer, keeping the skin hydrated and healthy.

  • Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Oil - is a popular choice for treating acne because of its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. It's thought to calm redness, swelling, and inflammation. It may even help to prevent and reduce acne scars, leaving you with smooth, clear skin

  • Olea Europea (Squalane) - It occurs naturally in certain fish and plant oils (e.g. olive), and in the sebum (the oily stuff our skin produces) of the human skin. Squalane's main things are emolliency, surface occlusion, and TEWL prevention all with extreme cosmetic elegance. It's a superb moisturizer that makes your skin nice and smooth, without being heavy or greasy.

  • Orbignya Oleifera (Babassu) Seed Oil - It is obtained from the kernels of the Babassu palm which is found in the southern regions of Brazil.Babassu seeds contain approximately 60% oil. This oil contains a mixture of vitamins, acids, antioxidants, contains 72% lipids. It also contains plant sterols and phytosterols. It is rich in vitamin E which is a known antioxidant. (Deepak Dhanraj Wasule et al, 2014)

  • Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose) Oil - loaded with nourishing and moisturizing fatty acids. It's a very rich source of linoleic acid (66-76%), and also contains the soothing and healing superstar fatty acid, gamma-linolenic acid (aka GLA, 7-12%). It's a great hydrating plant oil, that can also reduce inflammation and irritation. It's a superb healing agent that can truly help dry skin, not just on the surface by covering it (and not letting water to evaporate) but by initiating structural changes within the skin. If that's not enough, it also helps skin cell regeneration.

  • Papaver Somniferum (Poppy) Seed Oil - The seed oil is rich in polyphenols which are potent antioxidants that help to protect the body cells from damage or degeneration .

    It also has high levels of tocopherols or vitamin E, which reduces oxidative stress and inflammation. It is beneficial for cell regeneration which leads to improved healing of wounds on the skin. Poppyseed oil is also known to protect the skin from damage caused by sunlight by hydrating the skin and protecting it from inflammation. The high levels of linoleic acid found in poppy seed oil make it an effective moisturizing agent. It contributes to the formation of ceramides in the skin that are essential to maintain and repair the epidermal or outermost layer of the skin"

  • Pelargonium Graveolens Oil (Rose Geranium) - The fragrant essential oil coming from the whole plant of Rose Geranium. It has a lovely scent with a mix of rose and citrus. it contains antioxidant and antimicrobial components, but the main ones are fragrant constituents (like geraniol and citronellol).

  • Pogostemon Cablin (Patchouli) Oil - The fragrant essential oil with a pleasant woody, earthy and camphoraceous scent and has fixative properties (makes the fragrance long-lasting).It does not contain any of the EU's 26 most common fragrance allergens, but its most important components are patchoulol (30%) and alpha-patchoulene (6%) which are responsible for its aroma and antifungal properties.

  • Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil (and) Calendula officinalis (Calendula Flower) Extract - Excellent humectant for dry skin, and for severely chapped and broken skin. It also has calming and anti-inflammatory properties that may help with skin conditions, according to a study published in June 2013 in Advances in Dermatology and Allergology.

  • Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Kernel Oil - It's a nice general purpose emollient, has nourishing and moisturizing properties (as a high oleic oil it's ideal for dry skin types) and is quite easily absorbed into the skin.It contains antioxidant vitamin E and nourishing fatty acids (mostly oleic acid 54-74%, linoleic acid 12-35%).

  • Punica Granatum (Pomegranate) Seed Oil - The emollient plant oil coming from the seeds of Pomegranate.Pomegranate oil is a really unique one, as its main fatty acid (60%) is a rare one called punic acid. Also contains the common linoleic (2-10%) and oleic acids (3-12%), but only in small amounts.Powerful anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant agent. The oil itself is also claimed to have strong antioxidant properties as well as having excellent nourishing and moisturizing abilities as well as promote the regeneration of the epidermis (the top layer of the skin).

  • Rice Bran Wax - This ingredient is rich in Vitamin B and Vitamin E, which help treat hyperpigmentation, acne, and aging. Rice Bran purifies the skin, smoothes the complexion and reduces the appearance of fine lines and pores. It brightens the complexion and also helps fade dark spots.

  • Rosa Canina (Rosehip) Fruit Oil - known for its high omega fatty acid content (linoleic acid - 51%, linolenic acid - 19% and oleic acid - 20%) and skin-regenerative properties. The tocopherols (vitamin E) and carotenoids (pro-vitamin A) content of Rosa Canina oil that gives it some nice antioxidant properties.All in all,it is a great emollient plant oil with great fatty acids beneficial for any skin type.

  • Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Oil - The fragrant essential oil coming from evergreen bushy shrub which grows along the Mediterranean Sea, and sub-Himalayan areas. In folk medicine, it has been used as anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant and antimicrobial sourse.

  • Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) leaf extract - The extract coming from the lovely herb, rosemary. It contains lots of chemicals, including flavonoids, phenolic acids, and diterpenes. Its main active is rosmarinic acid, a potent antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory. It has also anti-bacterial, astringent and toning properties.

Tocopherols(Vitamin E) - Vitamin E is the major fat-soluble antioxidant in our skin. As a strong antioxidant it’s an A-player in protecting the skin cells from the nasty little things called free-radicals that want to destroy the lovely collagen that makes our skin nice and firm. Vit E has some nice photoprotection properties, meaning it can protect the skin from UV (and in case of Vit E it’s mainly UVB) rays. If you put it on your skin, it lowers the production of sunburn cells, reduces the damage caused by UVB rays and inhibits photocarcinogenesis.

Vitis vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil - A goodie plant oil coming from the polyphenol-rich seeds of the grape. It's a light emollient oil that makes your skin feel smooth and nice and also contains a bunch of good-for-the-skin stuff. It's a great source of antioxidant polyphenols, barrier repair fatty acid linoleic acid (about 55-77%, while oleic acid is about 12-27%) and antioxidant, skin-protectant vitamin E.
